Ink jet cartridges became a part of the County's recycling program in August of 2001.

The ink jet cartridge-recycling program is slightly different than Madison County's other recycling programs,

but the end result is the same. Recycled items are collected, sent to market and reused.

Madison County receives $1 for every usable ink jet cartridge recycled by a resident of

Madison County.  Displays containing free postage paid mail-in-bags are in strategic locations

around the county to assist residents with the ink jet cartridge-recycling program.

Ink jet mail-in-bags are available at the following locations:

1.      All 3 Madison County Transfer Stations; Cazenovia, Hamilton and Sullivan and the Buyea Rd. Convenience Station.

2.      In the lobby of the Madison County Office Bldg.

3.      Town and village clerks offices throughout the county

4.      Buyea's True Value in Cazenovia

5.      The New Woodstock Library

6.      The Community Action Programs in Canastota and Morrisville
