The residential punch card fee for 2005 will remain at the current rate of $12.25 for Madison County residents transporting their own trash and recyclables to the County transfer stations.
Each punch card represents five 33-gallon bags of trash. Recyclable items can be dropped off at the transfer stations for free.
The new punch cards will be available on January 3, 2005 at all town and village clerk’s offices and other authorized agents. Punch cards issued in 2005 will expire on December 31, 2006.
Commercial tipping fees will also remain at the current rate of $57 a ton for contracted haulers and $62 a ton for non-contracted haulers in 2005.
Tipping fees for day use permit holders has increased from $62 a ton to $67 a ton, according to James Zecca, director.
The Madison County Board of Supervisors approved the fee schedule for punch cards, commercial haulers and day use permit holders during its October 12 meeting.
