Medical Assistance: ProACT Prescription Drug Card
Residents of Madison County can get help with the cost of prescription drugs if they are uninsured through the ProAct prescription discount card. Just present this card at any participating pharmacy and it will bring immediate savings to your prescription cost.
ProAct Inc. a division of Kinney Drugs, is a discount program that reduces the cost of prescription drugs for underinsured and uninsured residents. The program was implemented by the Madison County Board of Supervisors in November of 2007. According to ProAct the average savings is $16.39 per prescription. There is no cost to the residents or the county for this program.
On Nov. 26, 2007, 35,000 discount prescription drug cards were mailed out to the residents of Madison County. There are extra discount prescription drug cards available in the lobby of the county office building in Wampsville for anyone who is in need of a card and did not receive one.
