Legal Department

The Legal unit provides comprehensive legal representation for all units within DSS.  Major areas of legal representation for DSS includes child welfare and child support.  Additional areas include, but are not limited to Adult Services, Medicaid, Temporary Assistance, estate matters, bankruptcy, property liens, and foreclosures.

The Legal Unit represents DSS in all matters where DSS is a party to the proceeding.
